I started my business in 1983. I knit and crochet many unique items, that I would sell out of my home, or at Flea Markets and Craft Bazaars. It was a great way for me to get sales experience, and I enjoyed meeting new people.
I remarried in 1986, and named my business after my husband. By now, I was creating Fashion Doll Clothes for Barbie and her friends. My youngest daughter was six, at the time, and she loved the new outfits that I made for her dolls. So Connor's Creation was born.
My husband and I love antiques and collectibles, so we added them to our business. We search rummage sales, estate sales, auctions, thrift stores, and antique stores for treasures. We enjoy the thrill of the hunt. Plus, we have a lot of fun doing it.
We used to sell some of our finds at Flea Markets. But these kinds of sales are too much work. The packing, unpacking, setup, etc. And the hours spent sitting in one place, facing the elements of nature.
Our treasure collections began to grow more than expected. My dream was to own my own store, where I could sell my crafts and collectibles. That way I could display them with pride, and not have them packed away in boxes. Although money was always tight, my dream never died.
My youngest daughter showed me how to sell on Ebay. I started in March of 2001. I have my Ebay store and Ebay auctions. My items are visible worldwide. This is so much better than a local store could ever be. I finally got to see my dream come true.
My husband and I are still searching for new treasures. Plus, we have a lot of collectibles, that we no longer have room for. I, also, have many crafts, yet, to add to my Ebay store.
